We have had 12 teams enter this year and so the league will be run in 2 stages.
1) The 1st stage will run from Wednesday May 1 – Monday June 10 inclusive and will see teams split in to 2 divisions of 6 teams each:

Each team will play the other teams in their Division once during the 1st stage. If the fixture has “water” next to it, the game is to be played on the water-based astroturf. If the fixture does not have “Water” next to it, the game is to be played on the hybrid astroturf.
2) The 2nd stage will run from Tuesday June 11 to Thursday July 11 inclusive.
The top 3 teams from each Division will go through to the Trophy League and the bottom 3 teams from each Division will go through to the Plate League to make 2 separate leagues of 6 teams each.
Each team will then play the other teams in their League once during the 2nd stage.
As a result of this format, teams will either play 10 games.
At the end of stage 2, the winners of the Trophy League will be awarded the OMTHC Summer League Trophy and the winners of the Plate League will be awarded the OMTHC Summer League Shield.
Notes:
For those that have not been to MTS before, there are 2 astroturfs at the school, 1 water-based and 1 hybrid .
Points earned in stage 1 will be carried forward to the appropriate stage 2 league.
Points system: win = 3, draw = 1, lose = 0

The objective of the league is to enable clubs to play a good standard of hockey in a friendly spirit. It is the role of the captain of each team to ensure that this takes place.
We very much hope that teams will use the changing and bar facilities after games.
